• As parents, we love that cocoon feels like a family. T loves coming home to report the latest thing she has learned (I was astounded when she started telling me about the different instruments in music!). She is supported to be herself, while still being pushed just the right amount.   I’m also always excited for her to tell me about the gourmet lunches she has had. Being in such a happy environment means that she also eats better at daycare than at home.   We want to thank each and every member of the team, from all the rooms, for all the love and support you show us and will be so sad when she starts school (will they give us well thought out and well written daily updates and photos?!). • I just wanted to send an email through to congratulate you on the team you have built at Cocoon. I was reflecting last night and I just felt compelled to say that I am constantly taken aback by how kind, caring and wonderful each and every staff member is. I was quite apprehensive with H moving from Cubs to Ocean, as I have loved the beautiful Cubs educators so much but I have been so impressed with the Ocean team and how they have bonded with him and made this transition so seamless.   I’ve now had experiences with all three rooms over the past two years and have so many positive things to say about the staff in each one. I have had E crying to me several times this past week because she doesn’t want to leave Cocoon and Miss Jess when she moves to big school! Jess is such a one-in-a-million and it warms my heart to see the genuine love E has for her.   I had two previous experiences of childcare before we moved to Cocoon and, while they were lovely centres, I found the whole experience very stressful and at times, distressing. Both E and H have been so settled at Cocoon and it has had such a huge impact on me. Knowing that I can focus on my work day and know that my kids are in safe hands and, more than that, genuinely cared for and nurtured, has been such a game-changer. I hope you know the impact that your team has on us as parents – thank you for everything.

• This email is honestly the best!! I want to thank you so much for allowing K to feel that her ideas matter, and showing this in an authentic way.  This is something that we have been working on through some affirmations at home.  You would have had every right to have nodded and smiled and the request, and moved on with your day.  You are incredibly busy, and it would have been completely understandable.  But you have showed her that her ideas matter and that she is valued, and the gift you have given to her will last for a long time.  We are so incredibly thankful for you, and your team and you genuinely love and care for K  Sometimes, I think she has more confidence and more identity than I ever have, and I know Cocoon has had significant input in that.  Cocoon really is such an apt name, because in our experience, it has been such a haven and space of nurturing while she develops in such blueprint years.  So thank you for everything you do – and don’t underestimate the gravity of this experience for our family (also, how did you keep a straight face! • We have loved having our daughter at Cocoon since she was one. With low staff turnover, the teachers know her, know us, and have helped raise her with care, respect, and confidence. The curriculum is exceptional, and the team have always made us feel like part of the family.
